Dog Arcade Editorial Team
Every game page and guide on Dog Arcade is published under the name Dog Arcade Editorial Team. This page explains what that means and how we work.
Who maintains the website
Dog Arcade is maintained by a small independent team that builds the games, writes the guides and looks after the site. We publish everything under one shared byline, the Dog Arcade Editorial Team, rather than creating individual author profiles. We don't claim professional credentials such as veterinary, dog-training or academic qualifications, and nothing on the site should be read as expert advice in those areas.
What we do bring is hands-on familiarity with the games on this site. We play them repeatedly on desktop and mobile browsers, we know how their scoring and difficulty work because we built them, and we check the guides against that behaviour.
How games are tested
Before a game is published, and again after significant changes, we check it for:
- Core flow: start, pause, resume, restart, game over and victory screens all work, and the score and best score update correctly.
- Controls: keyboard controls, mouse or tap input and on-screen touch buttons all respond, and keys like Space and the arrows don't scroll the page during play.
- Difficulty: Easy, Medium and Hard each feel fair. Easy should be comfortable for a first-time player, and Hard should be challenging but still possible.
- Layout: the game canvas resizes correctly on phones, tablets and large screens, and in both orientations where practical.
- Stability: automated test runs simulate long stretches of random play on every difficulty to catch script errors, and we also play each game manually.
- Storage: best scores, favorites and settings save to local storage and still work when storage is unavailable, for example in some private browsing modes.
How gameplay information is reviewed
Each game page lists controls, how-to-play steps, tips and FAQs. We write these from the game's actual rules, including point values, lives and what changes between difficulties, and we recheck them whenever the game changes. The guides reference specific Dog Arcade games only in ways that match how those games really behave. General advice (for example about timing or reaction practice) is written as practical gaming advice, not as scientific or medical claims.
How content is updated
Guides and game pages show a "last updated" date. We revise pages when a game changes, when a reader reports a problem, or when we find a clearer way to explain something. The editorial policy describes our standards in full, and the fact-checking policy explains how claims are checked.
How to submit a correction
If you find a bug, an inaccurate instruction, a broken link or anything else that looks wrong, please tell us through the contact page. Choose "Correction" or "Bug report" as the subject and include the page address, what you expected and what happened. For game bugs, please also mention your device and browser. We review every report and fix confirmed problems as quickly as we can.
