About Dog Arcade

Dog Arcade is a free website of original, dog-themed arcade games that run right in your browser, along with practical guides that help you enjoy them.

What Dog Arcade is

Dog Arcade is a small browser gaming site built around one simple idea: short, cheerful arcade games starring dogs. Every game on the site is an original HTML5 game made for Dog Arcade. You can play on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer without installing anything or creating an account.

The collection covers several classic arcade styles, each with a canine twist: endless running in Dog Runner, vertical platform bouncing in Puppy Jump, top-down collecting in Bone Collector, racing in Dog Race, tile puzzles in Dog House Escape and a rotating Daily Dog Challenge. You can browse all of them on the games page or by category.

Why we built it

Many browser game sites are filled with copies of the same games, heavy downloads and intrusive pop-ups. We wanted something lighter: a focused set of games that load quickly, explain their controls clearly and respect the player's time. Most rounds last between one and five minutes, which makes them a good fit for a short break.

Original gameplay and artwork

The game code, dog characters, thumbnails, icons and illustrations on Dog Arcade are created for this site. The artwork is drawn with code (HTML5 canvas and SVG), so there are no licensed characters, borrowed sprites or stock images. The dogs are friendly cartoon dogs with different colour schemes. They are not based on any film, cartoon or game character. You can read more in our copyright policy.

Our content philosophy

Alongside the games, we publish guides about arcade skills (timing jumps, avoiding obstacles, reading difficulty curves) and about how browser games work. We write them to be useful to real players, and we avoid padding, invented statistics and exaggerated claims. We never describe a game feature that doesn't exist, and we don't publish fake reviews, testimonials or player counts. Our full standards are in the editorial policy and the fact-checking policy.

Dog Arcade is an entertainment website. Nothing here is dog training, veterinary or animal-care advice. See the disclaimer for details.

Accessibility commitment

We aim to make the site usable for as many people as possible. Pages use semantic HTML, have visible keyboard focus and support light and dark themes. Every game has written instructions and supports both keyboard and touch. Where your device asks for reduced motion, we cut back on animation. Some fast arcade games are hard to make fully accessible, and our accessibility statement explains the current limitations honestly.

Privacy by default

You don't need an account to play. Best scores, favorites, recently played games and settings are saved in your own browser using local storage, and they are not sent to us. Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain what happens if advertising or analytics are enabled on the site.

Who runs Dog Arcade

The site is maintained by the Dog Arcade Editorial Team, which builds and tests the games and writes and updates the guides. If you spot a bug, a mistake in a guide, or anything else we should know about, please use the contact page.
