Copyright Policy
Everything on Dog Arcade is made for Dog Arcade. Here's what that covers and how to contact us about copyright.
Original work
All of the following were created specifically for Dog Arcade:
- Game code, including the shared game engine and every individual game.
- Game mechanics as implemented on this site, along with level layouts, challenges and scoring rules.
- Dog characters, illustrations, thumbnails, icons, the logo and other artwork. These are drawn with HTML5 canvas and SVG code.
- Sound effects, which are generated in your browser by code.
- Website design, layout and user interface.
- All written content, including game pages, category pages, guides and policies.
© Dog Arcade. All rights reserved unless stated otherwise.
What we don't use
Dog Arcade doesn't use characters from films, cartoons or other games. It also doesn't use trademarked logos, copyrighted screenshots, stock images with unclear licences, or assets copied from other games. Our games are not clones of other websites' games. Arcade genres such as endless runners, platformers and mazes are shared traditions, and we build our own versions of them from scratch.
What you may do
- Play the games and read the content for personal, non-commercial use.
- Link to any page on Dog Arcade.
- Quote short passages from our guides with a link back to the original page.
What you may not do
- Copy, download and re-host the games, or embed them in frames on other sites.
- Republish our articles, artwork or thumbnails in full or in large part.
- Use the Dog Arcade name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
If you would like to use something in a way not covered here, please ask through the contact page.
