Privacy Policy
Short version: you can play without an account, your game progress stays in your own browser, and we only use advertising or analytics cookies with your consent where consent is required.

Who we are
This policy covers the website at https://dogarcade.xyz ("Dog Arcade", "we", "us"). Dog Arcade is a free, static website of browser games and guides. You can reach us through our contact page.
Information stored on your device
Dog Arcade doesn't have user accounts, and playing the games doesn't require any personal information. To make the site more useful, some data is saved in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us:

You can delete this data at any time by clearing the site data for dogarcade.xyz in your browser settings. Doing so resets your scores and favorites.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. We use them only to read and reply to your message. We don't sell this information or use it for marketing. The form is handled by a third-party form or email service once one is configured. That service processes the message on our behalf.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the hosting provider that serves Dog Arcade may automatically log technical information, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. It keeps these logs for security and to keep the service running. We don't use these logs to identify individual visitors.
Advertising
Dog Arcade may show advertising to help cover the cost of running the site. At the time of writing, no advertising code is active. When advertising is enabled, we intend to use Google AdSense, and it will load only after you give consent where the law requires it:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-conscious analytics service to understand which pages and games are used, so we can improve them. At the time of writing, no analytics code is active. If analytics is enabled, it will load only after consent where consent is required, and we will configure it to minimise the personal data collected, for example by anonymising IP addresses where the service supports this.
Your choices and rights
- You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the consent banner, and change your choice later on the cookie policy page.
- You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser at any time.
- Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or some US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data. You may also have the right to object to its use. To exercise these rights for anything we hold, such as a contact message, please use the contact page.
Children
Dog Arcade's games are family-friendly, and the site doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no accounts, chat or user profiles. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, please let us know and we will delete it. When advertising is enabled, we will not knowingly direct personalized advertising at children.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. It doesn't run server-side code that stores visitor data. The scripts on the site don't use your input to build page code, and search terms are treated only as plain text.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, for example when advertising or analytics is switched on, and we will revise the effective date above.
