Dog Park Dash is a running game with a countdown instead of lives. You start with 40 seconds on Easy, 35 on Medium or 30 on Hard, and the only thing that ends the run is the clock reaching zero. Running into a fence, bench, hedge, log or ball takes time off the clock (2, 3 or 4 seconds depending on difficulty), knocks the obstacle over, slows your dog for a moment and resets your treat combo.
Checkpoint arches add time. The first one is 420 to 500 metres in, depending on difficulty, and each later one is a little further away. The first checkpoint adds 14, 12 or 11 seconds, and every checkpoint after that adds a bit less, down to a minimum of 8, 6 or 5 seconds. Meanwhile the running speed keeps rising, so the run gets steadily harder.
You score one point per metre, 5 points for each obstacle or ball you get past cleanly, 50 points per checkpoint and 10 points per treat multiplied by your combo. The combo goes up one step for every three treats in a row, to a maximum of x5, and the bar in the corner shows how long you have to grab the next one.
Compared with Dog Runner, this game adds ducking, a combo system and a race against the clock. Your best score for each difficulty is saved in your browser.
Run through the checkpoint arches. Each one adds seconds to the clock, although later checkpoints add a little less than earlier ones.
You lose a few seconds, slow down briefly and your treat combo resets. There are no lives, so you keep running until the timer runs out.
Sometimes, with a well-timed high jump, but ducking is the safer choice because the balls fly at head height.
