Fetch Challenge is a short, relaxed game of aim and power. Each game has five throws. A new target flag appears at a different distance every round, and you set the angle and strength of the throw with a slingshot-style drag or with the arrow keys and a swinging power meter. The ball flies, bounces and rolls with simple physics, and your dog runs after it and brings it back.
Each throw is scored where the ball first touches the ground. You get one point per metre of distance, an accuracy bonus of up to 100 points when the ball lands inside the target zone (more the closer it is to the centre), and an extra 50-point bullseye bonus for landing within about a metre of the flag.
Targets are always placed within reach for the current wind. Your best total is saved in your browser for each difficulty.
At the spot where the ball first touches the grass. A blue marker shows it, and the distance in metres pops up above it.
On Medium and Hard the wind pushes the ball while it is in the air. The Medium preview shows the path in still air, so you need to allow for the wind yourself.
Your total for the five throws is stored in your browser's local storage, separately for Easy, Medium and Hard. There is no account and no online leaderboard.

Higher scores come from knowing what a score is made of. Break it into parts, find your weak one, and take risks only when they pay.
