How to Play

  1. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard and press Play.
  2. Watch the launchers at each side. The one that flashes is about to fire, and they take turns.
  3. Follow the frisbee's shadow on the grass to see where it is heading.
  4. Run underneath it and catch it with your dog's mouth, either standing or with a jump.
  5. Jump so that you meet the frisbee at the very top of your leap to score a Perfect.
  6. Every frisbee that lands or flies off the field costs one of your three lives and resets your streak.

Game Tips

  • Get moving as soon as a frisbee leaves the launcher. The run bonus rewards covering ground, and arriving early leaves time to set up a jump.
  • The shadow shrinks and darkens as the frisbee drops, which tells you when it is about to reach catching height.
  • High lobs hang in the air for a long time. Wait underneath and jump late so you catch them at your peak.
  • Flat line drives come in low and fast. A standing catch is often safer than a jump.
  • Golden frisbees fly a little faster but are worth double points, so they are worth chasing.
  • From the second round the arcs start to bend and later the wind adds a wobble, so keep adjusting your position until the catch.
  • Your streak multiplier grows every three catches in a row, so one safe catch is better than a risky miss.

About This Game

Dog Frisbee Challenge is a side-view catching game about reading a flight path. Frisbees are fired from launchers on alternating sides of the park on arcs that can be flat and fast, a normal curve, or a high floating lob. After a few catches the throws start to speed up and bend, and later on a gusty wind makes them wobble. A shadow on the grass follows every frisbee, and the game always gives you enough flight time to reach it.

Scoring

  • 100 points for every catch, plus a height bonus for catching it high in the air.
  • A run bonus based on how far you ran since the frisbee was thrown.
  • Perfect: +100 when you catch at the top of your jump. Clean: +25 for a dead-centre catch.
  • Golden frisbees double the points for that catch.
  • A streak multiplier that grows by 0.5 every three catches in a row, up to x3.

Your accuracy (catches divided by throws) is shown at the top of the screen and in the final summary.

Difficulty

You always have three lives. Easy marks the landing spot on the grass, gives the dog a bigger catch zone and throws more slowly. Hard throws faster with stronger wobble and needs more precise timing. Your best score is saved in your browser for each difficulty.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a Perfect catch?

Time your jump so the dog is at the top of its leap, moving neither up nor down much, at the moment the frisbee reaches its mouth.

Does the game ever end?

The game continues until you have missed three frisbees. Throws keep getting faster until they reach a top speed for your difficulty.

What does the golden frisbee do?

A golden frisbee doubles the points for that catch, including any Perfect, height and run bonuses.
